KIERA STEVENS’S POV
His lips pressed together but he didn’t say anything in return. I continued with a weak voice, feeling a hot burn in my throat,
“I can accept everything, Luca… your darkness… your bloodshed game… everything… But I will never compromise with my dignity… What will I tell my father when he asks me one day what I am to you? What will tell Ryan if he asks me one day what my relationship is with you?”
His face sunk as he stood there, hanging his head down in guilt. The truth was far worse than him. He only had eyes for his empire but what about me? What about us? Maybe, it was my mistake for falling for a monster like him.
The world went silent around us. All I could hear was our panting in these lonely streets. His lips were sealed, unable to retort anything as I slammed the truth right at his face. He could be the king to everyone but to me, he was my son’s father, a man who was supposed to value me the most.
