Cassendra’s grin widened as soon as she saw me silence. She continued pressuring me,

“Tsk… what happened to you? You look so terrified, Kiera! Don’t worry, your secrets are safe with me as long as you keep your distance from Luca. Remember, I will be watching you always. You can be well educated but your reputation sucks and you can never be a suitable match for Luca.”

She scoffed at the end of her words and finally retreated from my house. As soon as her footsteps faded, I felt numb on my knees. Tears spilled from my eyes. I never knew that watching your man with someone else could hurt so much. Cassendra came all the way from Italy just to threaten me. She was right about her words.
