Chapter 56

He ran his fingers through his hair as he sat at the breakfast table, waiting for her to return but she didn’t. He sighed, maybe the call was really urgent. She wouldn’t have acted that way if it wasn’t.

But then, what could he that urgent? He knew it definitely wasn’t about their work because no one would call her without going through him so what could have happened?

He was still there, waiting for her when he recieved a call. It had to do with the tender that had just being approved and as such, he had to leave.

He knocked at the door of her room. “Kathryn, I know you’re very busy but I’m off to work, I’ve got some things to finish.” He told her, and even though he didn’t get a response, he assumed she knew already.

He walked away and got dressed.
