Chapter 73

"Kathryn!" He called as he looked around the house. Where could she have gone? She was not doing well; she had pneumonia, and it was still very cold around the country, so what could have been so urgent that she had to leave the house?

He took his phone out as he tried to call her, but then it rang in the house, and at that moment, he realized that she hadn’t taken her phone with her.

He ran his fingers through his hair as he continued to look around the mansion. Where could she have gone? Didn’t she know it was very dangerous for her to move around like that in the condition she was in?

He sighed. Was she just naturally stubborn, or did she actually enjoy getting so sick?

He sighed and rushed to the gateman. "Tell me, did Kathryn leave the house?" He asked the security guard, who nodded.

"Yes, sir, she did. She said you asked her to go get something, and as such, she left. She said she’d be back soon, though." He told him,
