Chapter 220.  Dangerous Dance

As they make their way back to Lara's house, the morning sun rises fully, casting a warm glow over the street. When they reach her gate, Lara hesitates for a moment before turning to Zach with a small smile.

"Would you like to come in for a drink?" she asks, her tone casual but laced with a hint of vulnerability.

Zach's eyes light up with surprise and curiosity. "I'd love to," he replies, his voice softening.

They walk inside, and Lara leads him to the living room. She gestures for him to take a seat on the couch while she heads to the kitchen.
