Chapter 227. A Game of Thorns

As the night continues, they find themselves at a karaoke bar. The place buzzes with energy, people singing their hearts out to classic hits. Lara and Carter take a table near the stage, flipping through the songbook.

"We have to sing something," Lara insists, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Come on, it'll be fun!"

Carter groans playfully. "You know I'm terrible at singing."

"That's the point!" Lara giggles. "It's not about being good; it's about having fun."

Eventually, she convinces him, and they choose a cheesy '80s duet. As they take the stage, the crowd cheers them on. They belt out the lyrics, both off-key and laughing through most of it. The energy in the room is infectious, and by the end of the song, they are both breathless and grinning from ear to ear.

"That was terrible," Carter says, laughing as they make their way back to their table.
