Chapter 29. You Give Him Hope

ISABELLA’S POV

“Why are you here? Tired of Dante already?” Marco asks me as soon as I walk into his room and mentally scold Dante and Valencia for leaving me here to tell him the bad news. Marco’s going to freak when he finds out where Valencia is. He thinks she should stay holed up in here until this issue is resolved.

“Um, about that…” I say squeezing my face in contemplation as I try to find the right words that would appease the situation.

“Well, this can’t be good. What did he do this time?” Marco asks me with a genuine look of worry on his face.
