He paused and no one spoke, but we all bowed our heads deeply in acquiescence. He returned, but hesitantly:
"It's not too late if any of you have any doubts, for God's sake speak now! Whoever can go unhindered and the rest of us can go our own way."
He paused again, and looked at us intently in turn and we looked at each other but no one spoke and for my part, if I had any doubt as to going on, the look on Margaret's face reassured me as if I knew no fear. It was intense and was filled with divine calmness.
Mr. Trelawney took a long breath and in a tone more cheerful and more resolute, went on:
"Since we are all of one mind, the sooner we can get the necessaries in training the better. Let me tell you, M., that this place, like the rest of the house, can be lit by electricity. But we have not joined wires lest our secret become known, but I have a cable here that we can Plug it in the hall and complete the circuit.”
