‘Wow. What a plot twist.’ Avery said as her eyes were plastered on Lana and the Highcaster pack.

‘This has to be another part of their scheme… right? Why would they want to be under someone who can’t even transform? That defeats the purpose of being a werewolf in the first place.’ Maddison exclaimed.

River tried to tune out the two and focused on what was unfolding in front of him. He did not want to think negatively of them since Lana was open to giving them a second chance, but that still did not explain why they would still want to devote themselves to Lana who had no plans on becoming their pack leader in the first place.

“…why would you want to do that?” Lana asked them.

‘It just feels right. Either way, if you become mates with the Rosecliff pack leader it’s still the same thing. The packs will integrate, that’s how it has always been.’

“Well… when you put it that way, then I don’t see any reason to disagree with your terms.”
