Chapter 115. Intoxicated by Power
“There is a bathroom,” Daniel said, nodding toward a side door in the dimly lit room. His copper-brown hair caught the lamplight. “You can use that.”
“Thank you,” I replied, relief blooming in my chest. I rose and crossed the room to the door Daniel indicated. Once inside the small washroom, I locked and bolted it with a soft click. No one needed to see me in varying degrees of undress.
Within moments, I stripped off my clothes and felt the first familiar tug of power as my human frame lengthened, grew, and shifted. Coarse fur replaced my skin, my bones reconfigured, muscles bulged beneath the thick pelt. A moment later, I crouched on all fours, fully in wolf form, in the cramped bathroom. The room smelled faintly of damp tile and soap, and my paws left faint smudges on the slick floor.
