Chapter 5

"That's right."

Uriah murmured: "The Lippman family is willing to do our utmost to compensate Young Master Alexander and Ms. Brown."

"It's not that I can't give you a chance." Theophilus looked at them with a mocking gaze and said: "As long as you do one thing, I might forgive you!"

"Please state your conditions, Young Master Alexander!" Uriah gritted his teeth, ready to bleed if it meant Theophilus’s forgiveness.

"It’s simple, you must cancel the contract Maegan just signed, and write a new one without any conditions." Theophilus said calmly.

"That's no problem." Uriah hurriedly replied, thinking it was going to be a huge deal, only to find it was just this minor task. Now knowing the relationship between Theophilus and Maegan, even with ten times the courage, he wouldn’t dare force Maegan into anything she didn’t want to do.

"I haven’t finished yet!" Theophilus looked at Uriah and continued: "Sunset Valley must provide Maegan with the best resources, the best manager, the best scripts. Whatever movie she wants to act in, she must get to act in it. If Maegan faces any unpleasantness in the industry, I will hold the Lippman family accountable."

Amethyst and Jodie were stunned to hear him speak; this didn’t seem like any ordinary contract, it was more like treating her as a revered ancestor.

"Yes, yes, yes! No problem at all." Uriah hastily nodded.

"Alright, you can go now. And remember to resolve the contract issue quickly!" Theophilus took a sip of coffee, indifferently telling them.

Uriah quickly pulled Rafael out of the coffee shop as if he had just woken from a dream, followed hurriedly by Rafael's underlings, who also ran after them, daring not to touch the man who made the eldest son Uriah kneel down.

After leaving the café, Rafael couldn't help but express his frustration: "Brother, why did you agree to such unreasonable demands? The chairman surely won't accept this."

Uriah glared at Rafael and sighed deeply: "No, I'm certain both dad and the chairman will agree. They understand Theophilus's strength even better than we do. Initially, Theophilus wasn't someone we could afford to mess with. Not just Theophilus—if Magnus took action against us, Sunset Valley Entertainment might not last another month."

"Moreover, if I hadn't agreed to his terms, you might have been a corpse by now!"

Uriah looked at Rafael and said indifferently: "Have you forgotten how many died that night? There are many people our Lippman family dares not touch, yet Theophilus killed them all, and still, nothing has happened to him."

"From now on, remember to treat Maegan like royalty in the company; fulfill whatever she requests."

Rafael sat silently in the car, still in shock for a long time.

In the café.

Maegan looked at Theophilus with a slightly complex gaze and said: "Thank you!"

Jodie, too, stared at Theophilus, her speech not as carefree as before, feeling somewhat astonished. She had thought Theophilus was just bluffing, but it turned out to be true.

"Given my relationship with your father, this is what I should do." Theophilus stated seriously.

Amethyst was startled, realizing that the relationship between Theophilus and Maegan wasn't what she had assumed.

Everyone quietly looked at each other, and after a few seconds of contemplation, Theophilus continued: "If there's anything you can't decide on your own, just reach out to Magnus or Isidore. Isidore is your father's protégé, and their relationship is very close; you probably already know him."

"Uncle Isidore visits me every month." Maegan nodded and replied.

"Yeah, he is now the chairman of the Radiant Harbor Chamber of Commerce. If you encounter any problems you can't solve, just go to him." Theophilus spoke softly.

"What? Uncle Tremblay is the chairman of the Radiant Harbor Chamber of Commerce?" Maegan expressed surprise.

"You didn't know?" Theophilus was also surprised: "Before your father's incident, he was the chairman of the Radiant Harbor Chamber of Commerce. Didn’t you know about this?"

"I had no idea!" Maegan was baffled.

She had always thought her father was just someone who helped others and ran a few companies, none too significant, but now Theophilus was telling her that her father was the chairman of the Radiant Harbor Chamber of Commerce.

Theophilus didn't say much more, looking at Maegan he softly said:

"You can choose to be a star, but now I'm offering you another path to consider."

"A choice?" Maegan looked at Theophilus, puzzled.

"Come with me!"

Theophilus glanced at Maegan and Amethyst and then walked out of the café.

Amethyst and Maegan quickly followed him, and Jodie, seeing no one paying attention to her, gritted her teeth and followed as well. This was a big opportunity; missing it meant not knowing when, if ever, it would come again.

Now she was determined to stick close to Maegan.

Magnus personally drove Theophilus and the others to the Lakeside mansion on the mountain and then stayed outside to keep watch with Phelan.

The Lakeside mountain-top villa had only one mansion, known to the elite of Radiant Harbor as belonging to Young Master Alexander, a place no one dared approach on their own.

Moreover, Magnus typically stationed about twenty martial artists there for security, making it inaccessible to ordinary people.

The mansion atop the mountain boasted a vast yard, spanning several thousand square meters.

Theophilus led the three girls into the yard, whispering:

"Look at this!"

He pointed to a massive, thousand-pound rock in the yard and flicked his finger.

"Boom!"

A loud explosion sounded, and the thousand-pound rock shattered into powder, vanishing without a trace.

Amethyst's mouth fell open, her eyes wide with astonishment. A thousand-pound rock disappearing in an instant, was such a thing even possible for a human?

Even though Amethyst came from the Walker family, she had never seen anyone shatter a rock into powder with a flick of their hand.

"Is this martial arts?"

Amethyst murmured.

Theophilus glanced at Amethyst and coolly replied: "Yes, this is martial arts. The second path I'm offering you is the cultivation of martial arts. I will provide you with all the resources, but how far you go depends on you."
