Clap! Clap! Clap!
The remaining minor shareholders and managers followed suit, smiling and standing to applaud. The meeting room resonated with enthusiastic applause.
They clearly understood that the corporation was changing, and only by keeping up with Chairman Joe's pace could they reap future rewards.
Victor and Eugene's expressions were sour, but they could only force a smile and join in the applause.
Their hearts were bitter, understanding that things were now beyond salvage. Just being able to stand firm in the corporation in the future was good enough, let alone demanding more.

Six hours later, in the evening.
In a luxurious room of a grand hotel.
Leighton bowed respectfully, standing in front of a tea table as if waiting for orders. A young man in a white shirt sat on the sofa.
On the table, a computer was showing the entire proceedings of today's meeting at the Miller Corporation.
