“Are you reading again? How can you read so many books? Aren’t you tired of reading Fertine?” Freeda asked.

“You know this is the only thing that keeps me going. Besides I can’t go downstairs, he will probably see me.”

“As if he didn’t. He already did.” She said,

I know he already saw me. But I don’t want him to see me ever again. That is it. I don’t want to be with him or to even look at him.

“So what’s your plan? You are going to hide from him all the time?” He asked.

“Of course not, do you think I like to hide? No. I needed to hide. For Nona. For me. To take control of myself.” I explained to her.

“Anyways, what are you reading?” She asked.

“Well uh… Addy is a good niece and a hardworking person. Since she was a child she knew something was missing and her heart felt empty. She shut herself from intimate relationships, she never had one but it will all change when she found out she’s not blood related to her known aunt.
