Gabbie POV

I sat on the window bench in the guest room, staring out the window. Leiah’s parents had already left for the bonfire. Her stepdad was the former Alpha’s beta, the way Atlas was a beta in Kade’s pack.

The moon was gorgeous tonight, even though the coming clouds would obscure it from the world shortly. A knock came from the door, interrupting my trance and dragging me from my worries.
