Stormy POV

It seemed Lyle had the upper hand, but Xavier dodged his punch, knocked Lyle’s ankles and slammed his body on the concrete surface. I cringed. I think I heard bones crack.

“Good,” Alex said, eyes locked on the two guys, features stern and his muscles tense.

How could he possibly think that was good? It was brutal!

“Does he expect us to do that too?” I whispered to Xena.

She smirked. “Stormy and I are next!” She shouted gleefully.

Her and who? I couldn’t defend myself against people who turned into wolves!

“No, Stormy can’t fight,” Alex said firmly.

My jaw dropped. “Why not?”

I mean I was a little intimidated but I didn’t want Alex to think I couldn’t do it.

“Because you don’t know how to fight Stormy. The last thing I need is a dead recruit.”

I frowned. I know I’d get a black eye, but I wouldn’t be so bad that I would die.
