“So, this is what a mating ceremony looks like,” I said.

Alex took my hand. “Are you taking notes for ours?”

I grinned. “Possibly.”

The answer would be yes if he asked me to marry him.

Alex took my hand and brought it to his lips.

“Nervous?” I asked.

“No…”

“It’s your first outing as the Alpha lord. You’re a legend from what I hear,” I teased.

He didn’t like all the responsibility that came with being the moon goddesses representative. Especially, having to keep Gareth in check.

“I’m still the same old guy. Nothing’s changed.”

I nodded and kept walking.

“Okay, now I have an awesome mate by my side. I wouldn’t trade you for a thing.”

He saved my life. He was this way because he couldn’t let me go.

When Ivan grabbed me I was too busy looking for something sharp enough to cut my hand open so I could make Gareth drink my blood. I didn’t see him coming and he grabbed me.
