“This isn’t what I should be dealing with right now,” I muttered as I waded through the crowd. “Where is she?”

How could the moon goddess do this to me?

It wasn’t bad enough that I was cursed, but now this?

There she is! My blood boiled.

The sun had set, making the Henry pack dark. Her scent was like a spotlight on her. Leiah was about to flee when I caught her elbow.

My wolf recognised his mate’s scent when I was talking to Stormy earlier. I thought my mind was playing tricks on me, but it was undeniable. I confronted her, and the dreaded word escaped her lips.

I wanted to kiss her then and there. However, she saved us both by running away.

“We need to talk,” I growled.

“I don’t have anything to say to you,” she protested.

“Funny, I’ve got a hell of a lot of things to say to you.”

I took her glass of alcohol and dumped it on the ground.
