Kade POV

My basketball hit the ceiling. I couldn’t believe she didn’t show up. I threw the ball in the air the second it reached my palms. I kept her thong on my nightstand for her to see when she walked in.

But she never came. I can’t believe she blew me off.

I went downstairs to grab something to eat before I stepped out.

“Alex, babe have you heard?” Leiah purred.

I poured myself black coffee when I overheard her.

“What?” Alex snapped.

Interesting tone. What had him in a mood?

“You’re in a mood. I just thought you’d like to know your little omega best friend has a mate.”

The mug in my grip was seconds from breaking.

“What? Who? What are you talking about?” Alex blasted.

Gabbie didn’t tell him and Harlow managed to convince her friend not to tell Alex about what happened with Gabbie in the woods. Not that she could without implicating herself. Leiah didn’t know Gabbie and I were fated mates in her mi
