Chapter 20

Bridget’s POV

I think my heat is finally gone. For the first time since I got here, I’m finally waking up with a clear head. Also, I don’t have the underlying desire to have Ford fill me with his seed. I’m not complaining, but I would like to actually talk with my parents and finish meeting the rest of the pack.

I roll towards the nightstand near me. A small smile glides across my face. Ah, it is about 7 a.m. I have plenty of time to get a quick shower and tell my parents to come to my room. However, I still don’t really trust myself, though. I don’t need to be in the middle of the dining hall surrounded by werewolves and have my heat kick back in. I don’t want to take the risk.

I quickly mind link with my mother. “Mom, I think I’m fine this morning for you to come visit me and meet my mate. I’ll ask Katelyn and Alpha Wyatt to show you the way.”
