Chapter 28

Katelyn’s POV

What happened? There can’t be anything wrong with Wyatt. There just can’t be. He isn’t supposed to get sick.

I ignore the people trying to speak to me while I run past them. Normally, I’m not this rude, but this can’t be happening. I have to get to him. I have to see what is wrong with him.

Mentally, I apologize to everyone as I push through. However, I can’t seem to open my mouth. If I do, I’m afraid nothing will come out or only my sobs.

My feet move even faster as I see the hospital come into view.

I can’t fight back the tears anymore as they begin to slowly slide down my face. For the first time since I found out Wyatt is in the hospital and is unconscious, my voice finally works. While I try to control the pain, I shout, “WYATT!”

As if I have flipped a switch, everyone who has previously been walking in front of me instantly moves out of my way as my feet pound the ground harder, trying to get to him as fast as I can.

I do
