Kelly POV
For the first time in what felt like forever, I could finally breathe. Lucian had finally taken responsibility for his actions, and Olivia had laid her true intentions bare. There was no more uncertainty, no more unnecessary weight pressing down on my chest.
It didn’t mean everything was magically okay, but at least now, I wasn’t carrying those burdens alone. I felt… lighter.
Susan was sitting at the dining table, her brows furrowed as she flipped through a stack of papers. A steaming cup of tea sat beside her, untouched.
