Anderson POV
The streetlights blurred as I sped through the quiet roads. Yellow streaks smeared across my windshield. I was gripping the steering wheel tighter with each passing mile, my knuckles turning white.
Mom’s words replayed in my mind, looping over and over. Every word dug deeper into the pit of my anger.
“She had a past, Anderson. A past with Davis, one you should have known about.”
I could still hear her voice saying it, calm and matter of fact.
