Anderson POV
Kelly was pacing every inch of the room. Her footsteps were quick, sharp against the floor. Her arms were crossed tightly over her chest, like she was holding herself together.
Her determination burned through the chaos like wildfire. Even with the smoke still in the air, with my ears still ringing, her focus was entirely on Aiden. Nothing else existed for her right now.
Even now, with everything crumbling around us, she was still the same woman I had fallen in love with. Tenacious. Selfless. And extremely beautiful. The kind of beautiful that hit you in the chest.
