Book 2: Fulfilling Her Dreams

Felixe’s POV

I gazed at her sleeping face with relief. The worst was over. I had revived her and snatched her back from the jaws of death. This morning, when she didn’t wake up despite my repeated efforts, I was devastated. From thereon it had been a battle between me and her condition. I hijacked the best doctor of the kingdom from his house. We didn’t have a minute to spare and wait for him to arrive.

The hard work paid off, and Hera revived. Now I would monitor her 24/7, and take care of her until my last breath.

“Go to sleep, Felixe. I’m fine,” she whispered, stirring a little and wrapping her arm around my torso. It made me smile at her, my entire body calming down at her tender touch. She had changed me drastically. Of course, it was a change for the better. I wasn’t a feral, cold hermit wolf anymore. I was a domesticated, loving mate, a proud would-be father, ready to protect my family at all costs.
