Zephyrus’ POV

I could feel her presence nearby as we reached the peak of Mount Richardson.

“I can’t drive further, Zeph. From here we have to cover by foot.”

“I’ll strap the sword to my body. You can carry the other stuff.” Parking the car and strapping our belongings to our bodies, we shifted into our wolf form. It allowed us to hike faster towards our destination. The nearer we approached the summit, the stronger was her scent. I could feel Lena’s presence near me.

“We’re on the right track. She has passed this way. I can feel it,” I announced as the three of us whizzed past the snow-covered summit.

We reached the other side to see the vast stretch of boreal forests below us.

“This is Shadow Ridge, the territory of Alpha Leonardo and his Shadowridge Pack. We can ask him if he saw Lena,” said Leandros.

“Leonardo Grenier?” I asked, remembering my childhood friend who had fled with his family on the night of the attack.
