Lyra’s POV 

I waited for an opportunity to confront Zephyrus and demand an update on my mate’s whereabouts, but to my immense surprise, Zephyrus left for Aromania. It left me confused. Was his uncle really ill?

When I saw Lena in school the next morning, I couldn’t stop myself from asking her.

I hadn’t seen Michael since that evening, and I rejected him. He was the only one who could answer all my questions. I should have found out everything from him before pushing him away. 

“Lena, I want to talk to you. Do you have a minute to spare?” She looked ill at ease as if wanting to avoid me. 

“Make it quick, Lyra. I have a meeting with the counselor in five minutes.” 

“Umm, I wanted to know about Leandros. Do you know when he is returning home?” She gaped at me for a minute and shook her head slowly.
