Lena’s POV

I felt relieved when he didn’t announce the date of the Luna Ceremony in front of our pack. However, my relief was short-lived. Throughout, I could feel the curious glances being cast my way. They might wonder when it would be held.

“Let’s go, Lena,” said Zephyrus, as he led me away from the others. It was difficult to gauge his mood from the shuttered look on his face. Wasn’t he satisfied with the way it went? Didn’t it love up to his dream? Why didn’t he look happy when I was there by his side?

The members flocked towards the buffet tables laden with food. It was a treat from Zephyrus to his pack. A formal day of bonding is akin to a coronation. Zephyrus already was the true leader of the pack. Lucania had always been his. He didn’t need a formal ceremony to appoint him the Alpha. He had regained his position the day he overpowered us.
