Chapter 20
He scooped her up in his arms once he shifted to human form and moved to the house. She had stopped crying for a while, but his heart still raced with the fear he had felt when he had thought Eva would tear her neck out. He held her closely, giddy with relief to feel her warm body against him another time. He couldn’t believe he had almost lost her. He scowled as he remembered the look in Eva’s eyes.
He really needed to have a long talk with Eva after he had calmed his woman down. Did she think she was going to be his mate if she succeeded in killing off Mia? She must be really deluded.
