Danica’s POV

The entire day passed by at a torturously slow pace. Each time I shut my eyes to sleep and I wake up again to realize I only slept for thirty minutes almost drove me over the damn edge.

Jasmine came in thrice to help with my bath, breakfast, and lunch.

Eventually, I stopped avoiding the book and at 7pm, I was halfway through the book… yeah, just like that.

It’s one hour until dinner and I’m literally counting my fingers for Alexander’s arrival. Dinner came in, I tried not to be tempted to eat until he came back, but eventually I did. At 9pm.
