Chapter 52. The Overnight
We all headed to the shooting area, and as anticipated, Silas was there meticulously setting up his equipment, mirroring the scene from the day before. He went about his work with the same professionalism, as if the air wasn't charged with the unspoken tension of the previous night. In that moment, I realized I had to follow suit, pretending like nothing had happened.
"Have you seen the poses? It might be a little bit challenging. Let us know if you want some arrangements on it," Silas spoke to me, his attention still focused on his camera.
I met his gaze, considering how nonchalantly he approached the situation. "Yes, I've already seen them. I think I can do it, no worries," I replied, masking any hint of the emotional turmoil that lingered beneath the surface.
"Great," he replied, the word hanging in the air, a simple exchange concealing the complexity of our unspoken understanding. The facade of professionalism held firm.<
