Chapter 109. Mary's Fury
As soon as Moses set foot inside the palace, Onis came to meet him.
"Your Majesty..."
"Yes, Onis. Any news in my absence?"
"No, Your Majesty. Just a message from one of the chiefs of the royal guard, who says he has business of interest to attend to with you."
"Thank you, Onis." Moses said and started up the stairs and suddenly stopped.
He had asked Simas to find out about Octavian's family! How could he forget? He would talk to him soon. Now it was best to go upstairs and change.

Mary went up to her room when Thomas had finished his scandal and her sisters came to keep her company. Mentor also arrived soon after. Mary paced back and forth, obviously nervous.
"Mary, it's not our father's fault! Can't you see he's doing everything for your mother?" Samy said, already irritated by Mary's manner.
Mary stopped and stared at her expressionlessly.
