The nannies then entered the living room, each with the child they were responsible for. Lenda let go of Maureen, who ran up to her mother and hugged her affectionately. The other nannies also let go of Samuel and Lukas and a mess was made in the living room. Unlike the other nannies, Lenda remained in the living room watching everyone with her golden eyes and softly expressionless countenance. Matheus was the first to notice her staying in the room, when in fact, it was her habit to leave the child and walk out without saying a word.

"Something wrong, Lenda?" Matheus asked, not knowing what she would think of his audacity, since she didn't talk to anyone but Maureen.

She turned her face to him immediately and Matheus realized too late that she was thinking about whether or not to tell him what she had to say in front of so many people. And with her question, everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at her.
