Chapter 194. Maureen's Secret

Afhany shook her head as if it made all the sense in the world and then went back to questioning Lenda.

"Why are you saying these things about Maureen?"

"He threatened Samy, so I had a long talk with him this morning. Maybe the same one Samael had."

"Is that true, Samy? Maureen can't even pronounce words properly yet..." Afhany asked suspiciously.

"Yes. It's true." Samy said from her seat.

"And what did you talk to him about?" Moses wanted to know.

"I'll tell you how our conversation went. This morning, when I picked him up from his room, I changed him and took him to play with the other children. When he was well entertained with the other children, I called him in my mind with a tone of urgency in my voice."

"Maureen!"

"I called out and he immediately looked me in the eye. He didn't seem to know if I was joking or if something was really
