Moses kissed his forehead and moved over to Thomas's bed, where his son was awake and looking alert.
"And you, my son? Did you enjoy yourself today?"
"Not as much as you..." He said starting to get drowsy.
But the accusing way he said those words caught Moses' attention.
"I think you had more fun than I did. Your mother and the other mothers didn't want to play with me..."
The boy stared at him bored.
"No father! I have my obligations. Just like you have yours. And I, unlike you, am responsible. I can't run away from that."
Moses looked at him in surprise.
"And what is your obligation?"
"To keep the kingdom alive after the war comes, you don't worry about that, but I do."
"The only duty you have to fulfill is to be an obedient son and play with your brothers. What goes on in that head? You are too young to worry about kingdom things,
