On a dark, chilly night, the moon was hidden behind heavy clouds, leaving everything engulfed in inky blackness.
Not far from the waterfall where the Alpha King had once brought Evangeline, stood a small, doorless hut. It was as if the owner didn’t care about the possibility of someone entering, or perhaps they were sure that whatever was inside couldn’t be stolen or was simply of no use.
For days now, screams of agony had pierced the air at this time of day, scaring away the flying birds playing on the swaying branches of nearby trees.
Inside the hut was a single room, designed for a single horrifying purpose—torture. The room had no windows, and a small metallic cage with sharp nails protruding from it was placed haphazardly.
