Anacá's POV

Three months later...

I whirled around in front of the mirror for the tenth time. Was that radiant woman really me? It was the last fitting, and my seamstress, Amanda, looked on nervously. The gown perfectly fitted me, and the sequined bodice and illusion neck added to its charm. I knew it would fit. I fell in love with it at first sight.

“It’s beautiful, Amanda!” I smiled at her.

She released a sigh of relief. “I’m glad you like it, Ms. DuVernay. You look lovely in this dress. So, do you need any more alterations?” She checked it well while my attention settled on my abdomen.

Did I look pregnant? “No. It’s perfect. Have you brought the veil?”

“Yes. Here it is.”

I inspected the matching lace veil and arranged it in my closet.

“I’ll come over to help you get ready on your wedding day, Ms. DuVernay.”

I smiled at her. “Thanks. That would be a great help. I’ll see you the day after.” With one day left for
