Book 4: Returning Home
Killian's POV
The flight landed at the Los Angeles International Airport, and I glanced at my little family. The twins were fast asleep, and Sydney, too, looked well-rested. I was glad they could endure this long flight.
After a jostle at the baggage carousel, we were finally on our way home. But I had my doubts. Did she want to go back to my house? I knew how much she hated living there.
“Home at last! Any regrets?” I watched her smile and shake her head.
Her eyes sparkled with enthusiasm, relieving the tension that had been mounting inside my heart. “None.”
“I know you hate the house. If you don’t want to live there, I’ll buy another place for us.” I didn’t want her to leave again. This time, I couldn’t survive the heartache.
“I don’t hate the house, Killian. It’s a lovely beachfront house, but I felt lonely out there because you hardly spent time with me.” She sighed at the memory.
