Chapter 99. Whalien
Azeeva’s POV
A warm room. The night wind outside is cruel, but the students, especially girls, are calm and brave in wearing thin dresses. Including me, my dress is above the knee despite the shoulders being fluffy. I’d like to know if I’ll call a masseuse when I get home.
While Justin checks the camera connected to the computer, I duck down. I cast an eagle eye into every crevice of the room, under the cube of seats and carpet. So far, so good. All I’ve found are dust grains—one more. My eyes caught a sharp object tucked behind the monitor.
I tugged on the end, which was the greeting card Azeeva had mentioned earlier.
“Nothing strange. It’s like a normal photo machine. The main app inside is to connect to the camera,” Justin said. He lowered his finger from the touchscreen monitor and looked at the black card with red ink I held.
Happy 18th anniversary, Apellon Music College.
Make many memories before the music ends.
