Chapter 35. Aware

It's hard.

Saying goodbye to people who had so warmly accepted you into their family is really not easy.

In the past few days I have forged a close bond with Peter, Perpetua treated me like her best friend, and Elena looked up to me so much. And Esau trusted me enough to know his family was safe around me. I am sure I will miss them wherever my journey takes me.

"Canada," Ralph informed me briefly when I asked where we were going next.

He had told me earlier that we were on our way to his hometown in Canada with his new yacht. And from the looks of it, his plans haven't changed. I hug each one of the family, maybe Peter a little longer. I can safely call him my friend, more than the others, he went out of his way to make me feel at home in his family.

"As promised, I won't forget you. As soon as I'm settled, you'll hear from me again," I promise them.

Ralph helped me board, and once we were in the speed boat, we had to wait for Esis.
