Chapter 103. Birth of Love

Caroline's POV

I read his letter and every time it brought tears to my eyes. The emotions it brought and the feeling that swirling inside of me, there was nothing I wanted more than to be with him. Every day he came over to spend time with me, I had noticed that longing in his eyes.

He had been fighting to suppress the emotions, but I could feel it, and he could also feel it too. Phoenix wanted him, and so did he. I felt restless whenever he wasn't around, and I knew he noticed that.

Today he came again to keep me company. As the pregnancy grew, the energy to stand up properly became a problem, but he always encouraged me to take a few walks with him just to be exercised and help with the childbirth.

And today I stood up again just like every other day, but it was difficult, and I found it difficult to walk properly. Walking became something that drained me, not only did I feel weak, but also felt like I could faint at any time.
