Chapter 7. Go on a Patrol Around the Hunting Ground

Jackson's POV.

I scanned her length the moment she stepped into the room. Her eyes were down as she greeted, clearly unaware of the time of the day. She looked stunned when I corrected her. Her eyes snapped towards me, but she held her breath the moment our eyes met. I could feel a spark at the moment. Her mouth fell open in awe as she stared back.

She quickly came out of her shock as she cleared her through, which confused me. Was she just in shock and didn't actually feel something?

Because I could feel the strong connection with her and I noticed how close we stood, something she didn't realize even after looking around for a seat. I could barely take my eyes off her, but she could do it freely without any delay, which made me question everything. The unknown feelings I had towards her and the connection that only I could feel. Why was she the only one oblivious about it?
