Third-Person POV

Iris was furious with herself for reacting the way she was. “I like Adrian very much and I can feel his wolf dying to mate with me!” her wolf said.

“You are insane,” she answered her wolf in her head, while smiling at the guests passing by and waving at her.

Andrew excused himself and Iris walked away before any other person, especially Adrian came to speak to her. She walked into the garden. There was a little cottage in the garden. The guests were enjoying themselves and her children were upstairs playing with their toys and attended to by the maids as she had earlier instructed. She just wanted to relax away from the noise and stress. She needed to be alone with her thoughts where no one would disturb her. She had made sure she wasn’t followed.

“Why are you running from him?” her wolf asked. “How long will you continue to lie to yourself?”

“Shut up! Have you forgotten how he treated us in the past? Is your memory that faulty?”
