Chapter 110. Birth and Shock: Great Joy and Grief

Millicent’s POV

I had thought that I was going to give birth as soon as I got to the delivery room but it was not so. I remained in labor for about two hours.

“Call my Alpha, he needs to be here with me,” I said as the pain wracked through my body as though, I was being torn apart.

“We sent him away,” the head midwife said. “It is not really ideal for him to see you this way. He must keep remembering you as his strong Luna, with no blemishes.”

The way they explained it to me made sense. I realized in as much as I wanted the comfort of his arms around me at this time, to soothe my pains, I also did not want him feeling I was anything less than perfect for him.

Samantha was there in any case, rubbing my back and waist anytime the contraction started. Her massages really went a long way to relieving the pain.
