Chapter 59. I Have Betrayed You

Christopher’s POV

“Oh, Christopher,” she wailed, looking at me imploringly. ‘I have betrayed you!”

“Betrayed me?” I asked, wondering what she was talking about. What did she mean by having betrayed me? Had I not judged the scene I witnessed, accurately? I tried playing back the scene in my mind as I held her tightly, awaiting more explanations from her.

“Can you forgive me?” she asked and I was sure she was going to tell me she had decided to choose Sylvester over me. Oh, moon goddess, you cannot do this to me, I silently prayed for not now that I have started believing in you. I decided to ask her outrightly.

“What have you done and what should I forgive you for?” I asked, my voice steady.

“Is it possible to desire two men at the same time?” she asked and my heart gave a big thump.

“What are you trying to say?” I whispered hoarsely tilting her face up so that I could look into her eyes.
