Chapter 11

When Iris managed to steady himself, he glared at the surrounding crowd, his face red with rage: "Who was it? Who? Step forward, and you dare to throw at me? You want to die?"

His underlings also searched for the culprit. But just then, another smelly shoe hit him in the forehead, this time with even greater force, making him stagger and fall.

"James, why are there no more shoes?" Matthew loudly asked as he approached, parting the crowd and entering the yard. He spoke to James as if they were having a casual conversation.

"I only have two feet, can't spare any more shoes." James honestly replied, calm and composed.

"Is it you guys who threw a shoe at my face?"

Dizzy but determined, Iris stood up, not wanting to lose face in front of his subordinates.

Matthew looked at him. The guy was screaming, feeling immense disgust, and noticed Gabriel's trembling and pitiful parents lying on the ground.
