Upon finishing his words, Matthew returned to his room to rest, his frail demeanor causing a pang of sorrow in Rabbit's heart.

"Aunt Bella, Matthew seems to be ill. What can we cook to nourish him?" Rabbit was genuinely concerned for Matthew.

While Matthew was acting the part of the ailing man, enjoying moments of respite before the storm at home, outside the Nicholas family's suburban mansion, the two women and two men indulged in decadence day and night.

Connor, the chauffeur, was brimming with unspoken discontent.

"Young Mistress Nicholas, have you grasped the key points over the past few days?" Ceridwen cast a calm smile toward Madelyn.

As this was Nicholas' mansion, and Madelyn did not want her identity revealed, she had to take on the title of Young Mistress Nicholas.
