He knew that today might be a difficult day for Matthew.

"We should..." James began, intending to ask where they should go next.

"I'm hungry." Matthew stated abruptly.

James was puzzled; shouldn't they find somewhere to eat if he was hungry?

Until now, James had never known Matthew to make requests.

"There's a restaurant nearby. We could..."

"Go to Punish Mountain."

James was about to turn the car around when he suddenly heard Matthew's proclamation.

He looked at Matthew, perplexed.

What could they possibly eat there?

A spark of understanding lit up James' eyes, and he broke into a radiant smile devoid of any pretense.

"Right, it will be quick, very quick!" James hastily drove off.
