Gabriella's POV

"How are you feeling, Mom?" I asked after I helped her eat her dinner.

"I am recovering, Gab," she tried to smile at me, but I knew she was weak and not feeling alright.

I smiled sweetly and held her hands, "Until now, I can't believe you are here by my side, Mom! I thought you were dead like dad."

"I also thought that you died from the attack of the rogue werewolves, Gab," she said.

"I thought then that I was very unlucky because I lived. I lived without you and your father," I could feel the sadness in her voice while looking at me.

"I asked the Moon Goddess before that I would have died so that I could be with you and Mathias, but what I didn't know was that the Moon Goddess had another plan, and that was to be with you again, Gab," she continued.

I squeezed her hand, "And now, we won't be separated again, Mom. I promise that everyone behind what happened will be held responsible," I assured her.
