Chapter 55. Mom, Please Open Your Eyes

Gabriella's POV

"Doctor, what is the nature of her illness?" I inquired about it right away.

The attending physician looked at me and then said, "She's doing better, Gabriella," which was reassuring to hear.

"The tests performed on your mother, Gabriella, have been tallied, and we discovered that she possesses certain chemicals in her body. We have not yet determined what those compounds are, but we will soon," he filled me in on it.

"But you shouldn't be concerned because your mother's body is doing OK. Her vital signs, as well as all of her organs, are functioning normally. Perhaps the fact that she is unconscious is due to the chemicals in her body," he gave me his word.

"Thank you very much, Doctor, for the information."
