Richard’s POV

We stormed out of the room fast, not heading for Stella—she’d chosen her life. We headed for the hallway. Reagan was going to take the baby to a safe place and stay there with the baby. In this situation, she was the best person who knew what to do.

On my way back to the party to inform the rest about the stupid decision Stella had made—abandoning her new baby—I met Logan.

“Hey, where are you headed to?” Logan asked.

“Back to the party. Where are the rest?”

“You can’t go there now. I can’t find Sonia nor Damien. Norman, Lancelot, and Ryan are at the stairway,” he explained.

“Okay, so why can’t I go there? I need to warn them!” I insisted.

“No. If you go, he will see you, and that will not help—it will only slow down the whole thing. Jay is here already. Anything can happen, and he’s literally nowhere to be found too!”
